Okay, I looked at this a few times before stating my opinion.
And I agree, in part, with Bass. It is overkill.
However, a crybaby is the last step in a good effects setup.
You need your, phase, crunch, suspension, compression, drive, overdrive, panner, temelo, chorus, super chorus, reverb. There is alot that you need. But I betcha that there is some redundancy in his rig.
He has at least 2 multi-effects pedals that I can see. These should encompass alot of the sounds and effects he is looking for. Either way, he sounds good when he plays.

Yeh Six I was being a little bit sarcastic although alot of blues players shred with nothing more than a crybaby and a tube amp.

Yup, until I started this all GD band, I only used:
Amp w/overdrive
Pedals
Wah (Q535)
Chorus

With my strat (with an added on DH) and my twin reverb amp with reverb and tremolo switch plus a crybaby I can get alot of variety

I get lost with all those options and it ends up sounding like cats fucking....

I like that list...
But I would add a delay pedal to that, just for kicks.
I also used to use a Touch Wah, to get an easy (but cheating) Garcia "wah" tone.
That was just my personal preference, and I only play acoustic now.
I always used a six pedal setup (all BOSS and DOD) and never went into multi effects boxes or MIDI setups.
I had it like this: Overdrive>Metal/grunge>compression/sustain>super chorus>Delay>T-Wah
Played a fender into a tube amp with a superior reverb pan I installed myself.
But I also have not played in a gigging band in at least 8 years...
Oh yeah I forgot to mention I had a Volume control pedal at the end of my setup...

Here is an explanantion from heyitsmesjess that he posted in the phook thread.
they have different settings, so he can get diff sounds out of the same pedal without having to adjust it mid-set/song.
just turn one off and the other on, and voila!
ill bet you thats what hes doing when he does the 2 feet jump shile soling (think stash)...probably turning one off and one on at "strategic" moments in the solos...to help build tension/release
just a guess

Good call on the other ones, Jimmy B.
Right now I use all Boss & Crybaby.
But I am using a multi-effect by DigiTech
It is great and weighs alot less than all the others.
This will be my next toy:

The amp modeling, effects, preprogamming, all the stompboxes you could want. A very nice addition if I do say so myself. By all accounts this model is supposed to be the cat's meow. The best thing is that you can edit all the effects either from the board, or from you PC so no fiddling with the little screen! I am in love with this device. It is what I want for Christmas. But it is too expensive to ask for this from anyone.

the cat's meow.
Certainly looks to be that...I was speaking to a kid around town the other day about something like that, perhaps that same model. Looks sweet. Christamas Dream huh...
I already said I need a new CPU,but I can handle that myself...
What I really need is a bass amp to plug in my Fender jazz bass...I inherited a fretless model...And i blew my amp during that blackout last year on the east coast...It was the only appliance I forgot to unplug...
I was thinking about a Hartke, twin 10 inch speaker practice model. I played out of one ( not the one that blew out) for a while and Hartke seems to make quality stuff. It was quite small and I hardly ever turned the bugger over 4 on volume, cause it was so freaking powerful, for a practice amp anyhow.
Man am I off topic...

You may want to consider this amp if you will gig at all

15" speaker, 125 W, kick-back design. Perfect for practice and moderate sized clubs.
I've had this amp for about 3 years and no problems whatsoever. It also plays nicely with a guitar as long as you are using some sort of effects. I almost prefer it when I use my lil DigiTech ($80) multi-effects.
When I buy the Line6, I will likely play out of this amp going forward. My guitar amp is a 2x12 Fender @ 16W. It handles volumes great. BUT, I have humbuckers on the 2 guitars I gig with and the Fender was designed with a single-coil in mind. So the GK really holds the lows nicely without choking and manages the highs with out being ear piercing like the Fender could get.
Just some thoughts!
